Bats of the 2015 College World Series

Reviewing the bats of the 2015 NCAA college world series is a year long event for us at justbatreviews.com. (See the 2014 College World Series article here). Now that the 2015 NCAA College World Series is well under way we thought reminding our readers of our previous reviews on the bats in that series and giving a few flashed of what is to come in the next 12 months seems would be a worthy a blog post.

As you know, eight teams have made the big dance—each wielding one of four different brands of bats (DeMarini, Easton, Louisville Slugger, Rawlings). Below is your guide to the bats of the 2015 NCAA College World Series .

Easton Bats in the 2015 NCAA CWS

Arkansas, Florida, Fullerton and TCU are each Easton schools that made the big dance. With that access, they can potentially swing the full line of Easton bats from previous years to the new 2016 Line.

Of note, the Easton XL3 from 2014 has been straight out killing ball in the CWS. A bat actually hitting home runs straight away center at AmeriTrade park? Talk about crazy.

Want even crazier? That exact bat is $119 on Amazon right now. Easton stopped production of this bat to move into newer years so get this bad boy while supplies last. It may very well end up being the best performing bat of the 2015 CWS and its for a fraction of the price and nearly 2 year old.Bats of the 2015 College World Series

Other notable versions from Easton in the CWS are the BBCOR S2z, S3z and XL3 from 2015.

A few have also picked up the new 2016 Easton Line with expanded applications for the TORQ handle. For example:

  • TCU Catcher Evan Skoug – Z-Core Hybrid
  • TCU 2nd Baseman Garret Crain – Z-Core Hybrid
  • Florida 2nd Baseman Dalton Guthrie – Z-Core Hybrid Torq
  • Arkansas Catcher Tucker Pennell – Z-Core XL
  • Arkansas 2nd baseman Rick Nomura – Z Core Hybrid

DeMarini Bats in the 2015 CWS

DeMarini has done two fantastic things for their two teams that made the CWS (LSU and Vanderbilt). For starters, the entire team received custom 2015 DeMarini Voodoo FT bats. As we reviewed earlier in the year when DeMarini rolled this out, the addition of custom made baseball bats to the market may be the most memorable and lasting innovation created in 2015. Both Vandy and LSU got hooked up:

The second thing DeMarini did was dole out at least one 2016 DeMarini CF8 for baseball. We are not sure how many players are swinging this bad boy, but we do know that Jake Fraley for LSU had one in his hand during BP late last week. We believe this is the first picture ever put online of the 2016 DeMarini CF8. We can’t wait to get our hands on the baseball CF8 and tell you all about it.

Louisville Slugger Bats in the 2015 CWS

Bats of the 2015 College World SeriesMiami is the College World Series participating team for Louisville Slugger in 2015. They get to unveil the 2016 916 Prime, 2016 716 Select and 2016 515 Omaha. We know virtually nothing about these bats at the moment outside of the very obvious:

  • 2016 version has a green end cap
  • It appears to be keeping the same black, white and red style through the 915, 715 and 515 respectively.

Rawlings also has one team in the tournament: UVA. The Cavaliers will be swinging the 2015 line of Rawlings bats in the 5150, Trio and VELO (pronounced: VEELOW).
