Large Company Custom Wood Bats
Louisville Slugger is one of the oldest names in the game, and has stood the test of time. They have over 20 colors to choose from to put on the barrel and handle, label colors, finish type, branding colors, and many other things on the bat. These bats come in at $170 and are well worth it.
Marucci is a very large and well known bat company. They make bats in maple or ash, and have bats in almost every possible shape and size, from adult all the way down to youth. Marucci provides over 15 colors to choose from that you can put on the barrel and the handle, what finish you want on the bat, knob stamping, barrel engraving, different drop weights and many other options. These cost $160, and are worth every penny.
Victus is a brand that came on the scene a few years ago, and have stayed in the spotlight since. They make high quality bats, that come in maple, ash or birch. Their customizable options include over 15 colors, many logo colors, knob stickers, and also, whether or not you want an axe handle on your bat. If you choose the axe option, your bat will be $205, but a normal handle will be $190. Either way, those prices are well worth it.
Sam Bats also has a full custom shop for every tiny piece of their bat including, of course, the Logo. These bats are pure Canadian maple and some of our favorites to swing. Swung by the likes of Carlos Stanton, Miguel Cabrera and Barry Bonds and straight from Canada. See our full Custom Sam Bat review.
There are many other large bat brands that are a very good choice, including Old Hickory, Viper, Warstic, Pheonix, Sam Bats and many more. All companies have different things about them that help draw customers in, and it's up to the buyer to choose. These large companies will be a little pricey, but definitely worth it if you're willing to spend the money.
Smaller Company Custom Wood Bats
Dove Tail Bats
Dove Tail Bats are a small company that is used by Eric Hosmer. They make bats in maple, birch or ash. They also provide many customizable colors, along with many other options. This company stays relatively cheap, as a fully customized bat costs only $155. If all the options arent selected though, the bat can be under $100.
