As a follow up to our Custom DeMarini Bats post a few weeks ago, thought we’d share a couple pics as to what we found on our doorstep this morning. As well, below the montage, a couple thoughts on how you might go about designing you’re custom DeMarini Bat.

On the whole I’d say I’m super pleased with it. I like the matte finished Overlord. My boys wanted it to be much more flashy and neon—but I thought this would be a nice timeless piece. And I think I accomplished that.Custom DeMarini BatCustom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini Bat

And it also comes in a pretty fancy over-sized bat box. Nothing but the best for your Custom DeMarini Bat.Custom DeMarini BatCustom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini Bat Custom DeMarini BatIt’s like Santa is real…

Some advice for those about to take the plunge in designing your own custom bat.

  1. Be careful, we say, on choosing overly crazy color combinations. We like the idea of more simple yet personalized bats and believe those will always be in style. We realize, however, the temptation to go big or go home with neons and sorts may be too great for some to withstand.
  2. We are big, big, BIG fans of the matte finish. The glossy finish is the same as the 2015 DeMarini Overlord FT that isn’t customized. So, when it doubt, go matte or go home.
  3. Think long term on your end cap and knob customization. We get it might be tempting to write something for an in the moment meme. But this bat will be yours forever so be mindful of the 18 characters you get in total.
  4. Sleep on it a couple nights before puling the trigger. Nothing like a good night rest or two and then going back to the design to see if its really what you want. DeMariniCustomBats.com lets you save and come back later…use that feature.

We just can’t wait for the CF7 (or CF8) to have this capability too.
